Germaine Bolds-Leftridge, the president of GBL Sales, Inc., has been in the Health and Beauty Aids industry since 1984. Germaine began her career in 1984 as a merchandiser for Soft Sheen Products in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area. Two years later, she started working as a sales representative in the northeast for one of the most progressive broker organizations prior to becoming the Regional Manager for Worlds of Curls located in Los Angeles, California.
When she was presented with an opportunity to become a broker in 1990, she enthusiastically accepted the challenge. GBL Sales opened its doors for business on March 1, 1990. The company is headquartered in Columbia, MD, and specializes in the sales and marketing of Health and Beauty Aids in the Northeastern and Southeastern markets. She founded GBL Sales, Inc. as a means of serving the diverse needs of her clients. To this end, her credo is reflected in GBLs philosophy, Every client deserves and will receive quality, professional, courteous service, without exception.
Germaine brings a sincere can do attitude to every professional relationship. This has made GBL Sales, Inc. one of the most respected brokerage firms in the industry. Germaine would be the last to admit this fact; however, just ask any of her clients. In 1981, Germaine graduated from Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in marketing.
She has been married for over 30 years to her kite-holder and is the proud mother of a daughter who is a pharmacist and a son who is an exceptional student and athlete. Her hobbies include golf, reading self-improvement books and sharing quality time with her family. She is a member of The Peoples Community Baptist Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Germaine serves on the board of American Aids of Humanity. On October 27, 2006, Marylands Lieutenant Governor recognized and presented GBL Sales as one of Marylands Top 100 Minority Business Enterprises Award.
This award was given in recognition for outstanding achievement in business development, client satisfaction, professional affiliations and community involvement.
